Cooking with Kids is a Great Bonding and Educational Experience

There are many great reasons to cook with your kids at all ages.

It teaches them important life skills. It stimulates and compliments their school education – for example, measuring ingredients supports math learning. It encourages them to try dishes they might otherwise turn a nose up to. And it serves as a great way to bond with your children.

Children can help in the kitchen as soon as they are able to stand on a step stool and reach the counter.

This is my daughter Angela, she's 5 years old and she really loves Pancake... So our activity for today, I will teach her to cook PANCAKE in a simple way... Exciting?

This is a great bonding with my daughter Angela....

Kids Can Cook Pancakes

This pancake recipe is fairly kid-friendly, except for the hot griddle. Kids can mix the ingredients together and the adult(s) will have to oversee the use of the griddle and give some instruction on pancake flipping. Otherwise, this is a great recipe to get your kids involved with for preparing breakfast. You will be building skills and cooking competence while also making family memories. Your child might even propose making pancakes for dinner. It may be a new interest that they'll take up and look forward to doing with you.

Be Grateful

Focus on your blessings. List them down, appreciate each one and allow peace and gratitude to fill your heart
Be grateful and thankful
These inspirational quotes about life serve to show us how we can completely transform our lives by practicing gratitude on a regular basis. Many people mistakenly adopt the idea that they will be happy once they accomplish more in life or have enough money to buy their dream home, car, or something equally as valuable. However, this isn’t the case.
When we learn to be thankful for and content with what we have, we disrupt the idea that we can’t find happiness as we are. As we become more grateful in life, we learn to appreciate all of our blessings–both big and small.”

Im blessed to have my FAMILY

Why is gratefulness important?

Being grateful is a fundamental life-skill that many people don’t learn. It really is a useful skill to have, as it is a happiness-multiplier, for lack of a better term. Any happiness you have, if you have gratitude in your heart, will become much greater. It sounds silly, but it is true.

On the flip side, as the quote suggests, those without gratitude will find their happiness diminished. Jealousy, and all the other the related feelings, will suck the joy out of what you have and leave nothing but bitter feelings behind. I’ve been there, and it’s no fun. Have you?

With gratitude, even the smallest things in life become a joy to behold and to experience. Without gratitude, life is one long bummer. Most of us live somewhere between these extremes, but I hope you will join me in trying to live a life focused more on gratitude than not.

Where can I apply this in my life?
Even if you’re having trouble with feeling or expressing gratitude in the big things of life, you can start with the little things. Do you have food? Do you have shelter? Can you show or feel gratitude for even the little things in your life? That’s a step in the right direction!

Be grateful. Even when we don't feel grateful, we should be grateful.

Ang dami ng ginawa at pinatunayan ni Lord sa buhay natin para mareklamo tayo. We don't have the rights to complain.

He's been faithful to us even when we're faithless to Him. He's been so good to us even when we're disobedient to Him.

Be grateful for small things.
Be grateful for big things.
Be grateful for everything in between.

Be grateful for what God has brought you out of.
Be grateful for all the things He has done, and for the things He's about to do.

Before we complain and ask God for what's next, make sure you steward well what He already gave you.

Hingi tayo nang hingi kay Lord ng "bago" pero hindi pa natin pinalalago yung nandiyan. Hindi natin pinapasalamatan yung nandiyan na.

This is a reminder: Have a grateful heart.
